American Legion Post 66 Joins Community Volunteers to Honor Veterans at Oak Ridge Cemetery
The effort was part of the community’s ongoing Memorial Day remembrance and served as a meaningful way to honor the veterans buried at Oak Ridge Cemetery. Each flag placed at a gravesite is a simple but powerful symbol of gratitude for those who served our nation.
During the morning’s work, volunteers also raised a new American flag at the center of the cemetery. The flag will stand as a lasting tribute to the veterans remembered there and as a reminder of the freedoms secured through their service.
American Legion Post 66 is grateful to Kennett VFW Post 5443, FCC, Legacy Hospice, and every volunteer who helped make this effort possible. Their service to our community helps keep alive the memory of those who wore the uniform and reminds us all of the true meaning of Memorial Day.
We invite the public to reflect on the service and sacrifice of our veterans this Memorial Day and to join us in honoring their memory.
