What We Do

Preserving memorials, honoring service, and investing in youth.

Our mission centers on caring for veteran monuments, supporting honor ceremonies, and building the next generation through scholarships and civic programs.

Monuments & Community Upkeep

We help preserve and maintain veteran memorial spaces across Kennett and Dunklin County.

  • Upkeep of Flowers & Monuments at local memorials and veteran sites.
  • Placing Flags at Veterans' Graves during remembrance observances.

Honor Service

Flags, ceremonies, and community outreach that remember sacrifice and celebrate patriotism.

  • Kennett Downtown Memorial Day Service planning and participation.
  • Honor Guard support for funerals, dedications, and civic events.

Invest in Youth

Scholarships and civic education that pass American Legion service values to the next generation.

  • We sponsor students to attend Boys State and Girls State.
  • Arrange Veteran visits in Classrooms to share service stories and civic values.
  • Two annual scholarships plus Voice of Democracy and Patriot's Pen support.

Gatherings & Outreach

Guests are always welcome—bring a fellow veteran, a family member, or someone curious about the American Legion mission.
